Urdu1 to premiere Aitzaz Hasan's biopic 'Salute' on March 23

With the cinema industry growing and focusing more on entertainment, it was rather refreshing to see Shahzad Rafique make a film based on the real-life hero Aitzaz Hassan last year. Let’s be honest here. While we do enjoy watching masala movies right there, the audiences also need to watch a story which glorifies the heroism of a young Pakistani boy. With Pakistan Day around the corner, we were delighted to hear that Urdu1 is gearing up to have a world television premiere of Salute, a biopic based on the life of Aitzaz Hassan.

Aitzaz Hasan is the young and brave boy who sacrificed his life to prevent a suicide bomber from entering his school of 2,000 students in the Ibrahimzai village of Hangu, on 6 January 2014.
With Aitzaz’s courage touching millions of hearts it was a nice gesture by Director Shahzad Rafique to make a movie based on his life. While the director’s efforts were appreciated for bringing a real-life hero into the limelight, maybe some of you missed the chance of watching the movie on the big screen.

In case you did, then you are in luck as on March 23, the movie featuring features Saima Noor, Ajab Gul and Ali Mohtesham playing Aitzaz is going to debut on Urdu1

With some brilliant cinematography and acting, Salute is one movie which is not to be missed on 23rd March in the comfort of your own home. It will allow you to witness and applaud the bravery of Aitzaz Hassan and that too on Pakistan day.
