Baaghi episode 7 review: Life is about to change for the feisty Fauzia Batool

Baaghi is one of the most intriguing plays to have aired on television to date; not because it is based on Qandeel Baloch's life but also because the character of Fauzia Batool is rather interesting. We're now sure of her desire to become something in life rather than a doormat wife and a mother who has to stay two steps behind her aadmi and forgo her dreams.
Fauzia is certianly not the one who gives up. She is feisty and does everything what pleases her. Even with a lot of heartbreaks, nothing has been able to break Fauzia's spirit up until now. Having married Abid (Ali Kazmi) has turned out to be a nightmare for her and she is now determined to settle the scores with him.
So with Fauzia(Saba Qamar) finding the truth out about Abid's affair with Ruby, here's what went on in this week's episode.
Fauzia is hurt and angered. She goes on get an advice from her favorite Chaudrain Jee, but the woman also tells her not to do anything silly. Fauzia's mother too advises her to be quiet and bear with things as Abid does come home to her at the end of the day. And being a man, he will never miss out on an opportunity for an affair. Her mother also reminds her how Abid had gotten much too angry and asked Fauzia to stay queit and so she should listen to him.
But Fauzia is Fauzia and she is certainly not becoming a doormat wife. She provokes Abid to divorce her and he does, uttering Talaq once, he sends Fauzia home minus her son. This particular scene was one of the best in the episode as both Saba Qamar and Ali Kazmi were amazing. It won't be incorrect to say that both these actors have really gotten in to the skin of their characters so well that one forgets that this is a play they're watching. Farooq Rind has definitely extracted brilliant performances from Ali Kazmi and Saba Qamar because they do not fail to impress in every scene that comes on television.
Moving on, nobody in her house wants to keep her there so Fauzia is forced to go back to Abid. But that's where the big twist happens. The ending of this week's episode is what had us excited the most. Fauzia receives a call from an agent who wants her to do a modelling assignment and is calling her to the city. Fauzia is excited but Abid and his family's reactions need to be seen.
Is Fauzia's journey of becoming Qandeel Baloch, the viral sensation, about to begin? Only time will tell. Until then Baaghi is not to be missed at any cost. Saba Qamar is a delight to watch onscreen and keeps reminding us why she is our top favorite. So don't forget to tune into Baaghi, next week, on Thursday, only on Urdu 1.
